VISIONS OF DANCERS – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Moxie Dance Project will present their spring concert “Visions” on April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Pottle Auditorium.      HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Moxie Dance Project will present their spring concert, “Visions,” April 14 at 7:30 p.m. in Pottle Music Building Auditorium.
     The concert includes the genres of contemporary, improvisation, contemporary jazz, and contemporary ballet and features choreography by Southeastern dance faculty members Dana Brewer-Plazinic and Martie Fellom. 
     Student choreographers who are also performing in the concert include Kaitlyn Blanchard, Kentwood; Danielle Boudreaux, Joeffery Harris Jr., and Crystal Schayot, New Orleans; Kaleigh Brandt, Slidell; Nicole Judson of Baton Rouge; Kelly Maloney of Springfield, Larry Montelongo of Slidell; and Brittany Zacary of Mandeville.
     “Many of the choreographers incorporated other art forms or the use of media or technology within their work,” said Dana Brewer Plazinic. “Moxie Dance Project is interested in challenging the choreographer and performer to present work in an original and unique way. Dr. Fellom will present an improvisational piece featuring dancers, musicians and actors.” 
     Southeastern dancers performing in the concert include Whitney Adams and Madison Alford, Pontchatoula; Gabrielle Austin, Alabama; Julia Burkhalter, St. Rose; Kristen Graben, Madison, Miss.; Sarah Gregoire, Baton Rouge; Sarah Hill, Pearl River;  Jeoffrey Harris and Austyn Hollowell, New Orleans; Wade Hymel, Mandeville; Durand Jones, Darrow; Makayla Labranche, Maurepas; and Brandi Lambert, St. Amant.
     Additional dancers include Shaina-Lin Lewis, Mt. Hermon; Ashanti McLaurin, Chicago; Taylor Moore and Claire Williams, Baton Rouge; Ashtin Robertson, Bogalusa; Maggie Rownd, Darby Murphy, Ashli Tallo and Katherine Sharp, Hammond; Jasmine Santa Cruze and Nicolette O’Connor, New Orleans; Danielle Smiley, Prairieville; and Rusty Tennant, Portland, Ore.
     Tickets for “Visions” are $4, general admission, and $2, non-Southeastern students, senior citizens, and Southeastern faculty and staff. Southeastern students are admitted for $1 with university I.D. Tickets are available at the door on performance night.
