Southeastern Houston Alumni Chapter plans March 10 presidential reception

HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Association Houston Chapter is hosting a reception Wednesday, March 10, in honor of Southeastern’s 14th President John L. Crain.
The event is scheduled from 5:30-7:30 p.m. at the home of John and Cynthia Hutchinson Nesser, 874 Country Lane in Hunter’s Creek Village in Houston.

Crain, a Franklinton native and 22-year Southeastern veteran, was appointed to the presidency in February 2009. He served as interim president from July 2008 until his appointment and as provost and vice president of academic affairs for six years. Crain is also a tenured faculty member and served as Faculty Senate president and head of the Department of Accounting.
