HAMMOND –Southeastern Louisiana University’s Sims Memorial Library is now collecting public donations of popular books, DVDs, videos and CDs for its April 14-15 National Library Week book sale.
According to Eric Johnson, Sims Library director, the book sale is the library’s largest annual fundraiser and is a great way to get started on spring-cleaning while helping out the university.
“Funds from the sale are used to purchase books and other materials, provide lectures and programs, and buy needed supplies and equipment not covered in the regular budget,” Johnson said.
Donations should be delivered to the Circulation or Acquisitions departments on the first floor of the library Monday-Friday from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Popular magazines and damaged items will not be collected for resale.
For more information, contact Johnson at 985-549-3962 or ejohnson@selu.edu.
