     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Science and Technology recognized students for outstanding academic performance at the college’s April 28 honors convocation.
     Jordan Dale of Abita Springs and Dana Mayer of Toronto Ontario, Canada received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Biological Sciences, while the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Chemistry went to Megan Lanier of Amite.
     Cited as “Outstanding Graduates” in various departments and programs were Zachary Bond of Denham Springs, physics; Savannah Brown of Denham Springs, computer science; Scott Grimes of Bogalusa, computer science; Christina Lenel of Covington, industrial technology, bachelor’s degree program; David Barker of Hammond, occupational safety, health and environmental program; Robert Hudson of Zachary, industrial technology, associate’s degree program; Rena LeBlanc Edwards of Denham Springs, mathematics; and John Howell of Tickfaw, mathematics.
     At the ceremony, the college also presented its annual award for excellence in research to David Sever, head of the Department of Biological Sciences. Sever is recognized in the academic community for his more than 30 years of work on the secondary sexual characteristics of salamanders. 
     The award for excellence in teaching was presented to Debra Dolliver, who is an associate professor of chemistry and physics at Southeastern, as well as a Southeastern graduate.
     The Distinguished Alumnus of the Year Award was given to Dr. Eric Griener, a 1982 graduate with a bachelor’s degree in biology. Griener currently is an ophthalmologist and owns the NorthShore Eye Clinic in Hammond.

TAMMANY) - Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Science and Technology honored its distinguished students at the college’s annual honors convocation April 28. Christina Lenel of Covington received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Industrial Technology in the bachelor’s degree program; Jordan Dale of Abita Springs, received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Biological Sciences.

(3) COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HONORS (EAST BATON ROUGE) - Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Science and Technology honored its distinguished students at the college’s annual honors convocation April 28. Robert Hudson of Zachary received the Outstanding Student Award in Industrial Technology in the associate degree program.

(4) COLLEGE OF SCIENCE AND TECHNOLOGY HONORS (INTERNATIONAL) - Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Science and Technology honored its distinguished students at the college’s annual honors convocation April 28. Dana Mayer of Toronto received the Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Biological Sciences.
