HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University, along with the Louisiana Procurement Technical Assistance Center, will offer a seminar titled “Partnering, Joint Ventures & Teaming Agreements” on Thursday, April 21 at the Southeastern’s University Center in Hammond from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
“Bringing together two businesses in a government contracting partnership can pay off in a big way. However, if done incorrectly, it can have potentially devastating effects for both parties,” said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern SBDC. “That’s why it is vital to fully understand the types of business relationships and make the right choice for your situation.”
Topics covered during the conference include: partnering for government contracts, teaming arrangements, and joint ventures - differences and definitions; when to team; regulations regarding teaming (FAR Limitations); teaming agreement vs. joint venture; small business issues regarding teaming; and teaming agreement issues.
Cost to attend the seminar is $10, and pre-registration and payment is preferred. For more information or to register please contact 985-549-3831 or lsbdc.slu@lsbdc.org.  Online registration is available at www.selu.edu/sbdc.
