HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s Lion fan day event and traditional pep rally at downtown Hammond’s Hot August Night on Friday (August 19) will include the third annual Lionpawlooza.
The pep rally, which launches the start of the Lions 2011-12 athletic season, will start at 6:30 p.m. Coaches, cheerleaders, Lionettes, student-athletes and Southeastern’s Spirit of the Southland Band will lead the rally on the stage in front of La Caretta Restaurant.
Following the pep rally, the festivities will continue behind La Caretta. The free showings are scheduled for 5:30 and 7:30 p.m. The theatre will also host a dinosaur exhibit, crafts, treats and a special appearance by Buddy the dinosaur, all in Columbia’s lobby from 5 to 9 p.m.
