"Legislative Hobnob" scheduled at Southeastern March 3

     HAMMOND – Area business leaders and individuals will have the opportunity to voice their priorities to state legislators at the third annual Tangipahoa Legislative Hobnob scheduled March 3, 5:30-7:30 p.m. in the Southeastern Louisiana University Alumni Center.
     Free and open to the public, the event is sponsored by the Chambers of Commerce of Amite, Hammond and Ponchatoula and the organization Leaders Impacting Tomorrow’s Tangipahoa (LITT). 
     In addition, the gathering will provide attendees with the opportunity to hear from members of the north shore legislative delegation as they outline their priorities and predictions in advance of the upcoming Legislative Session, set to begin April 25. 
     The event’s agenda will also feature a mix and mingle section during which community members will be able to speak one-on-one with elected officials. Expected to attend are Senators Jack Donahue and Ben Nevers and Representatives Tim Burns, Stephen Pugh, John Schroder and Scott Simon.
     The event’s refreshments are co-sponsored by the Culinary Arts Program of Northshore Technical College and Champagne Beverage.
