LSBDC at Southeastern offers business continuity services

     HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University is now offering free business continuity services to area businesses.
     Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern SBDC, said continuity services can assess current business situations and guide owners through the creation of a plan to help mitigate a future event that could impact their operations.
     “Would your business survive in the event of a disaster? Are you prepared for a key employee getting sick, a key customer going out of business, or loss of computer data,” Summers asked. “The LSBDC continuity planning team is ready to assist businesses in preparing for these events and more.”
     Business continuity planning services topics include areas such as reducing the impact of business interruption, minimizing risk, protecting the business, employees and the community, improving products and services and developing disaster preparedness and response strategies. Other topics that can be addressed include remaining current on rules and regulations, improving ability to bid on and win contracts, buildomg competitive advantage and improving public image.
