Southeastern Jazz Ensemble I joined by world renown trumpeter

HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University Jazz Ensemble I will be joined by trumpeter
Graham Breedlove for a performance on Thursday, April 18. The free concert is scheduled
for 7:30 p.m. in Pottle Auditorium.
A native of Lafayette, Louisiana, Breedlove's talent has taken him to more than
four continents and 20 countries, including special stops in Kuwait, Iraq and Afghanistan
to play for members of the United States military.
Breedlove is currently the trumpet soloist with the Army Blues Jazz Ensemble,
a part of the U.S. Army Band "Pershing's Own."
The ensemble will also be joined by Southeastern student soloists Iuliia Alyeskyeyeva
and Angelisa Allen, both vocalists; Jonathan Lyons on the tenor saxophone; and Vitalie
Gumeniuc on the alto saxophone.
The program will feature charts and arrangements by Breedlove, Dizzy Gillepsie
and Jim Weisheit among others.
