HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University's Division of Extended Studies will offer its
popular QuickBooks Certificate Program at its two off-campus locations.
"Certificates will be issued for those who complete all three levels of QuickBooks
2013, and they will be prepared to take the QuickBooks Intuit Certified User exam,"
said Charlotte Collins, program manager. "Professionals and QuickBook users will be
able to take these classes at either of our regional locations in Mandeville or Walker."
Held in Mandeville at the St Tammany Center and in Walker at the Livingston Parish
Literacy and Technology Center, these classes are located conveniently for the Northshore
community.
Course instructor Dan Allday, owner of the Louisiana-based CPA firm Allday Consulting,
said Level I will help participants get an edge in the bookkeeping field and gain
skills with the software used by over five million businesses in the U.S.
"The class will also provide an understanding of financial terms like checking
accounts, revenues, and expenses," added Jason DeGraw, instructor for the Walker class
and owner of DeGraw Bookkeeping.
The registration deadline for both Level I classes is September 3. On-line registration
and workshop details are available at www.southeastern.edu/es.
Classes will be held on Tuesday evenings from Sept. 10 through Oct. 15, from
6 to 8:15 p.m. Levels II and III will be held after the conclusion of the prior level
class.
