Lane elected president of education law group

HAMMOND – Kenneth E. Lane, professor of educational leadership and technology at Southeastern Louisiana University, has been elected president of the Education Law Association at its recent annual conference held in Denver.

The association, based in the Cleveland State University Law Library, is the premier national organization that addresses legal issues in the K-12 grades and higher education. The group sponsors webinars, publications and both regional and national conferences.

A resident of Covington, Lane will serve one year in his role as president. He has extensive experience in education law with more than 25 years in legal education activities, including service on the ELA board of directors, heading the association's Publications Committee for more than 10 years, and editing two editions of "The Principal's Legal Handbook." He has also presented on legal issues at conferences throughout the world.
