HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University will host a seminar titled "Time, Tools and Techniques for Your Social Media Plan."

The free event will be held in several locations throughout the Northshore - Feb. 20 in Amite at the Amite City Chamber of Commerce at 101 S.E. Central Avenue; March 20 in Mandeville at the St. Tammany Center at 21454 Koop Drive; April 17 in Livingston at the Livingston Parish Library Main Branch at 20390 Iowa Street; and May 15 in Hammond at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center at 1514 Martens Drive.

All classes will be held from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

"This class is designed for the business that knows utilizing social media is a must in today's marketing plan, but there is simply not enough time in the day for one more thing," said Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Southeastern Small Business Development Center. "We will take an in-depth look at time management tools which will inspire you to dive into social media in an effective, efficient way. We also share the importance of analytics, how to read them and include them into your social media planning."

Social media includes email marketing, and Constant Contact reporting tools and social media integration tools will be discussed in how they can be used to save time as well, Summers added.

"Attendees will leave this session understanding how time, tools and techniques all work together so that you can be successful in the social media scene," she said.

Although there is no cost to attend, pre-registration is required to guarantee seating for each participant.
