Southeastern Police investigating robbery at North Oak Park

HAMMOND –The Southeastern Louisiana University Police Department is investigating a report
of robbery at North Oak Park that occurred at approximately 9:30 a.m. Thursday (July
18).
The victim reported a cell phone with headphones attached was taken from her hand
while she was jogging around the park. No weapons were reported to have been used
during this robbery, and the victim gave a description of the suspect.
The suspect is described as a black male, approximately 11 years old. The suspect
fled on foot by way of the northeast footbridge at North Oak Park in the direction
of the Whitmar Subdivision.
The case remains under investigation. More information will be released as it
becomes available. Anyone with information about this incident or suspect is encouraged
