HAMMOND - Marion Ruth Chandler of Hammond, right, and friend Libby Covington listen to the recitation of names of Southeastern Louisiana University faculty, staff, students and alumni who died in the past year. The university's annual Golden Silence ceremony was held on Wednesday (March 13). Mrs. Chandler was attending the ceremony in memory of her late husband Dr. Davis "Sonny" Chandler, a loyal fan of the Southeastern Lions.
