1) ROCK 'N ROAR - DENHAM SPRINGS – Brianna Thibodeaux of Denham Springs High School handles a bearded dragon at Southeastern Louisiana University's Rock 'n Roar fest Saturday (March 23), held in conjunction with the District Literary Rally, while biology graduate student James Stewart looks on. More than 2,500 area high school students attended the rally, where they also toured the university's academic offerings and participated in other activities.

 

2) ROCK 'N ROAR - FRANKLINTON – Hannah Nichel, left and Jessica Gomez, both students at Franklinton High School, handle a gentle corn snake at Southeastern Louisiana University's Rock 'n Roar fest Saturday (March 23), held in conjunction with the District Literary Rally. More than 2,500 area high school students attended the rally, where they also toured the university's academic offerings and participated in other activities.

 

3) ROCK 'N ROAR - SLIDELL – Southeastern Louisiana University graduate student James Stewart of Union City, Tenn., shows off a bearded dragon lizard to Tammy Pursley of Slidell High School who was participating in the university's Rock 'n Roar fest Saturday. Held in conjunction with the District Literary Rally, Rock 'n Roar attracted more than 2,500 high school students, where they toured the university's academic offerings and participated in other activities.

 

4) ROCK 'N ROAR - VARNADO – Southeastern Louisiana University Associate Professor of Biology Penny Shockett shows a collection of skulls and other bones to Cedric Howard, center, and Nicholas Blackburn, both students at Varnado High School at the university's Rock 'n Roar fest Saturday (March 23).  Held in conjunction with the District Literary Rally, Rock 'n Roar attracted more than 2,500 high school students, where they toured the university's academic offerings and participated in other activities.
