HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University's annual campus-community festival, "Rock 'n
Roar," has set a rain contingency plan in the event of inclement weather on Saturday,
March 23.
Scheduled from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the War Memorial Student Union and park, the
festival plans to move all food and drink booths, information booth and face painting
into the Student Union mall area out of the elements. All educational displays will
also be moved to the Lion's Den, while the market will be housed under the overhang
of the Student Union mall facing the park area.
The Art Camp will still take place in Clark Hall, and the Lionette Dance Camp
will remain in the Kinesiology Building, with the dance performances taking place
at noon in the Kinesiology gym instead of in the Student Union.
The baseball camp will be moved to North Campus in the Lady Lions Softball gym,
which is complete with turf and a batting cage. The gym is located on Lion Lane next
to Textbook Rentals. Participants are reminded to bring their own bat and glove and
to wear tennis shoes.
