Instructor for SHRM Prep Course announced

HAMMOND –Southeastern Louisiana University's Non-Credit Programs announces the addition of Wendy Lorenz as the instructor for its upcoming Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM) Prep Course. The course is for those pursuing Professional in Human Resource/Senior Professional in Human Resource (PHR/SPHR) Certification from the national Human Resources (HR) Certification Institute.

Lorenz, who received her SPHR in December 2012, is the current director of Civil Service for the City of Kenner. She has 14 years of professional human resource experience both in the public and private sectors and has been a member of the Northshore Region Human Resource Association since 2009. Currently, she is state conference director for the Louisiana State Council of SHRM.

Courses will be held in Mandeville at Southeastern's St. Tammany Center on Wednesdays from 6 to 9 p.m. beginning Sept. 10 through Dec. 10. The registration deadline is Sept. 3, and enrollment is available online.

"We are fortunate to add Wendy Lorenz to our Instructors, as her experience will be invaluable to participants," said Director of Non-Credit Programs, Charlotte Collins.
