Holloway named to National Economic Board

HAMMOND – Herb Holloway, research economist with Southeastern Louisiana University's Business Research Center, has been elected to the board of directors of the Association for University and Business Economic Research (AUBER).

AUBER is considered one the premiere organizations dedicated to improving the quality, effectiveness and application of research in business, economics and public policy. The association was founded in 1947.

Holloway's duties include conducting economic impact studies, community commerce studies and other contract research projects. He is the editor of the Business Center's quarterly newsletter, the "Economic Reporter," which tracks economic trends and developments in the five-parish Northshore region. He is a resident of Hammond.

He previously held positions as a farm business management specialist with the University of Kentucky and as an economist with the Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries. He holds an undergraduate degree from LSU and a master's degree from North Carolina State University, both in agricultural economics.
