HAMMOND -- Southeastern Louisiana University kinesiology major Emily Randon of Covington has been chosen Miss Southeastern 2015.

Randon received her crown from Miss Southeastern 2014 Crystal Gonzalez of Hammond at the annual pageant Saturday (Nov. 1) at Southeastern's Pottle Music Building Auditorium. Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the pageant is affiliated with the Miss America Pageant system.

A sophomore, Randon also received the Lifestyle and Fitness Award, the Personal Interview Award, and she tied for the Talent Award.

First runner up was Scarlett Blades, a sophomore communication major from Walker. Blades also received the Evening Gown Award.

Hailee Weber of Destrehan, a junior special education major, was second runner-up. Weber tied for the Talent Award.

Third runner up was a tie between Dominique Brogle, a junior communication major, from Destrehan and Nancy Peck, a sophomore communication major, from Covington. Brogle won the Miss Congeniality Award, and Peck won the People's Choice Award.

Randon will advance to the Miss Louisiana pageant, which will be held in Monroe in June.
