Southeastern LSBDC offers tips for Small Business Saturday

HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana University is working with its regional partners to offer the seminar, "Tips for Scoring Big on Small Business Saturday."

Assistant Director of the Southeastern LSBDC Sandy Summers said Small Business Saturday is a day to celebrate and support small businesses and all they do for their communities and is held the Saturday after Black Friday, the big shopping day following Thanksgiving each year. Small Business Saturday 2014 is Nov. 29.

"In this power packed, strategy driven three-hour class, participants will leave with information specifically related to developing a campaign to help your business get the most out of Small Business Saturday," Summers said. "Topics will include social media marketing, email marketing, event marketing and more. Don't delay - register today to reserve your spot in this Small Business Saturday Marketing Tour."

Summers said while there is no cost to attend the classes, seating is only guaranteed for registered participants. Classes are offered at the following locations:

• Walker, La. - Wednesday, Sept. 17, Livingston Parish Literacy and Technology Center, 9261 Florida Blvd., 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Hammond, La. - Wednesday, Sept. 24, co-sponsored with the Hammond Chamber of Commerce, Southeast Louisiana Business Center, 1514 Martens Drive, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.

• Mandeville, La. - Tuesday, Sept. 30, co-sponsored with the St. Tammany Economic Development Foundation and St. Tammany West Chamber of Commerce, St. Tammany Parish Administrative Complex, 21454 Koop Drive, 9 a.m. to 12 p.m.
