Southeastern LSBDC to host Facebook class for business

HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana
University, along with the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce, will host an event
in Hammond designed to help businesses discover the value of Facebook marketing.
The seminar, “The Art of Creating Engaging Facebook Ads,” will be held on Thursday,
Aug. 20, from 9 to 11 a.m., at the Southeast Louisiana Business Center located at
1514 Martens Drive, and will feature speaker Kim Walker of 5 Stones Media.
“During the class attendees will learn the basic methodology of boosting posts,
promoting events and running ads to increase engagement, website traffic and page
likes,” said SBDC Assistant Director Sandy Summers. “We will discuss specific targeting,
image selection and studying analytics. This class will leave you in awe of what can
be done with Facebook ads.”
There is no cost to attend; however, pre-registration is preferred. Registration
