HAMMOND – The spring series of "Let's Talk: Art," sponsored jointly by Southeastern Louisiana University's Department of Fine and Performing Arts, the Hammond Regional Arts Center, and the Friends of Sims Library, continues Wednesday, March 25.

Scheduled at 5 p.m. in the Contemporary Art Gallery at Southeastern, the series will present a special Women's History Month lecture. Instructor of Photography Leah Floyd will speak on "Establishing a Parallel Practice."

"In her presentation Floyd looks at the nature of creativity and suggests that creative practices, rituals, and alternative activities performed outside the studio can influence art practice," said Sims Library Director Eric Johnson. "She will explore how leaning on parallel practice during times of creative droughts can keep creativity moving forward."

All lectures are free and open to the public. For more information, call Johnson at (985) 549-3962.
