HAMMOND - Kevin Burnelle, left, manager of Albertson’s supermarket on Thomas Street, accepts the Community Partnership Award from Southeastern Louisiana University’s Division of Student Affairs. With him is Southeastern Vice President for Student Affairs Marvin Yates. Albertson’s was honored for their strong support of the Lions’ athletic programs, including offering special discounts on game days to patrons wearing university apparel.
