1) SOUTHEASTERN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HONORS (ASCENSION) – Lauren Bourgeois, left, of Geismar was recognized at the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Education's annual honors convocation April 28. Bourgeois was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate in Elementary/Special Education. Congratulating her is Interim Dean Shirley Jacob.


2) SOUTHEASTERN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HONORS (EAST BATON ROUGE) – Marina Gonzalez, right, of Baton Rouge was recognized at the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Education's annual honors convocation April 28. Gonzalez was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate in Elementary Education, 1-5. Congratulating her is Interim Dean Shirley Jacob.


3) SOUTHEASTERN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HONORS (LIVINGSTON) – Rebecca Brown, left, of Luling and Emily Jimison of St. Rose were recognized at the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Education's annual honors convocation April 28. Brown was recognized as the Outstanding Graduate in Middle School Education, 4-8, while Jimison was recognized as Outstanding Graduate in Early Childhood Education, PK-3 and as a nominee for the Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.


4) SOUTHEASTERN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HONORS (ST. TAMMANY) – Kelly Roberts, left, of Covington was named the Outstanding Graduate in English Education at the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Education's annual honors convocation April 28. With her is Interim Dean Shirley Jacob.


5) SOUTHEASTERN COLLEGE OF EDUCATION HONORS (TANGIPAHOA) – Joshua Luneau, left, of Amite, and Jonathan Lyons of Ponchatoula were recognized at the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Education's annual honors convocation April 28. Luneau received the Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award, while Lyons was recognized as Outstanding Graduate in Music Education.


HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University student Joshua Luneau of Amite was named Outstanding Student Teacher by the College of Education at its honors convocation April 28. Luneau was recognized for his student teaching in elementary education.

The college also announced the recipients of departmental honors, scholarships, and grants and new members of the Phi Kappa Phi, Kappa Delta Pi, and Phi Alpha honor societies and Southeastern's own Thirteen Club honor society.

The list of students receiving honors and scholarships included:

AMITE – Joshua Luneau, Outstanding Student Teacher Award.

BATON ROUGE – Marina Gonzalez, Outstanding Graduate in Elementary Education, 1-5.

COVINGTON – Kelly Roberts, Outstanding Graduate in English Education; Alexis Pellegrin, nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.

FOLSOM – Maggy Long, nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.

GEISMAR – Lauren Bourgeois, Outstanding Graduate in Elementary Education/Special Education.

LAPLACE – Elizabeth Diamond, nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.

LULING – Rebecca Brown, Outstanding Graduate in Middle School Education 4-8.

MANDEVILLE – Jennifer Hines, nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.

PONCHATOULA – Jonathan Lyons, Outstanding Graduate in Music Education; Phyllis Schenck, nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award; and Alexandra Cooper, nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.

SAINT ROSE – Emily Jimison, Outstanding Graduate in Early Childhood Education PK-3 and nominee for Outstanding Elementary Education Student Teacher Award.

WALKER – Tiffanie St. Ann, Outstanding Graduate in Social Studies Education.
