HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana
University and the Greater Hammond Chamber of Commerce are hosting a free accounting
seminar designed to identify the numbers most critical to business success.
The free seminar, titled “Running Your Business by the Numbers,” will take place
in Hammond on Wednesday, March 2, from 9 to 11 a.m. at the Louisiana Small Business
Development Center (LSBDC), located at1514 Martens Drive.
“If you’re using accounting software, it’s fairly easy to run financial reports.
But what then?” asked Sandy Summers, assistant director of the Small Business Development
Center. “There are so many numbers to look at, and it can be overwhelming. Which numbers
are most important to monitor the health of your business? Which numbers should you
track to ensure that your business is growing properly, is ready to sell, or can raise
capital? LSBDC Director William Joubert will address these questions to help determine
the numbers most critical to business success.”
Although there is no cost to attend, seating is only guaranteed for pre-registered
attendees. To register or for more information, call (985) 549-3831. Online registration
is also available at www.lsbdc.org.
