HAMMOND – The Louisiana Small Business Development Center at Southeastern Louisiana
University will host a free seminar May 9 titled “Customer Focused Selling.”
Co-sponsored with the Louisiana Economic Development Foundation, Greater Hammond
Chamber of Commerce and Northshore SCORE, the seminar is scheduled from 9 to 11:30
a.m. at the LSBDC main office in the Southeast Louisiana Business Center, located
at 1514 Martens Dr. in Hammond.
“With simple, repeatable processes that are concentrated on an exceptional, customer-focused
experience, this program can help business owners significantly increase their company’s
sales,” said Assistant Director of the SBCD Sandy Summers.
Summers said the seminar will help businesses learn to define the ideal customer,
how to drive new business, create customer loyalty, fill customer needs without a
hard-sell approach, establish goals as well as set a tracking plan, and teach how
to coach for performance.
“Not a ‘listen and learn’ session, you’ll bring in your company’s sales history
and some of your specific areas of challenge so that we can ensure an interactive
program that’s a relevant use of your time,” she said.
Guest speaker for the event is Cynthia L. Widlitze of Aducco Consulting.
Although the seminar is free, seating is only guaranteed for pre-registered attendees.
