Alyssa Kate Larose wins Miss Southeastern Crown

ALYSSA KATE LAROSE WINS 2018 MISS SOUTHEASTERN CROWN – Miss Southeastern 2017 Kristyn Gary of Denham Springs crowns Alyssa Kate Larose of Kenner as Miss Southeastern 2018 at the annual pageant held earlier this month.

HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University elementary education major Alyssa Kate
Larose of Kenner has been chosen Miss Southeastern 2018.
Larose received her crown from Miss Southeastern 2017 Kristyn Gary of Denham
Springs at the annual pageant Friday (Dec. 1) at Southeastern’s Vonnie Borden Theatre.
Sponsored by the Campus Activities Board, the pageant is affiliated with the Miss
America Pageant system.
A sophomore, Larose also received the Talent Award.
First runner up was Annie Goodman, a junior nursing major from Denham Springs.
Goodman also received the Miracle Maker Award.
Second runner up was Jessica Thonn, a junior nursing major from Slidell. Thonn
also won the Miss Congeniality award.
Corley Chutz, an early childhood education major from Watson, took home both
Lifestyle and Fitness and the People’s Choice awards.
Chemistry major Rebecca Nuss of New Orleans received the Student Government Association
(SGA) Academic Award.
Larose will advance to the Miss Louisiana’s pageant, which will be held in Monroe
in June.
