     HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University’s College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences honored top graduates at its annual honors convocation May 1.
     Departmental awards and scholarships were presented to the following:
     AMITE –Jessica Cassanova, F. Dale Parent Outstanding Senior Award in Sociology; Rosemary Flynn, Martina Buck Award in History.
     BATON ROUGE – Hannah Turner, Outstanding Freshman Award in Music Performance.
     DENHAM SPRINGS     – Ryan Lafleur, Outstanding Senior Award in Music Education.
     FOLSOM – Sarah Montelepre, Outstanding Senior Award in English – Language and Literature.
     GONZALES – Daniela Gonzales, Outstanding Senior Award in Spanish Education.
     GREENSBURG – Keisha Davis, D Vickers Award in Creative Writing
     HAMMOND – Sarah Amaker, Outstanding Senior Award in Graphic Design; Casey Peacock, Harold Leu Award in Political Science.
     METAIRIE – Rachel Corass, Director’s Award for Academic Excellence in General Studies.
     PINEVILLE– Samantha Ryals, Outstanding Senior Award in General Studies.
     PONCHATOULA –Maria Alphonso, Outstanding Senior Award in Psychology; Micaela Lanus, Outstanding Senior Award in Spanish.
     PRAIRIEVILLE – Kyla Robertson, Outstanding Senior Award in English – Creative Writing.
     SLIDELL– Meaghan McCardle, Marc P. Riedel Outstanding Senior Award in Criminal Justice.
     SPRINGFIELD – Andrew Benton, Outstanding Senior Award in New Media and Animation.
     WALKER – Lauren Gibson, The Wilcox Outstanding Graduating Senior Award in Fine and Performing Arts.
     Also at the convocation, the college honored three faculty members with awards. Recognized were Claire Procopio, Excellence in Teaching; Keith Finley, Excellence in Research; and Ernest Milsted, Excellence in Artistic Activity.
     The college honored inductees into the Southeastern chapter of Phi Kappa Phi national honor society and the university’s honor society the Thirteen Club.

2) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (Ascension) – Southeastern Louisiana University students Daniela Gonzales, left, of Gonzales, and Kyla Robertson of Prairieville were honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ May 1 honors convocation. Gonzales received the Outstanding Senior Award in Spanish Education, and Robertson received the Outstanding Senior Award in English – Creative Writing.

3) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (East Baton Rouge) - Southeastern Louisiana University student Hannah Turner, right, of Baton Rouge was honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ May 1 honors convocation. Turner received the Outstanding Freshman Award in Music Performance. Congratulating her is Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Karen Fontenot.

4) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (Jefferson) -- Southeastern Louisiana University student Rachel Corass from Metairie, right, was honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ May 1 honors convocation. Corass received the Director’s Award for Academic Excellence in General Studies. Congratulating her is Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Karen Fontenot.

5) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (Livingston) – Southeastern Louisiana University students from Livingston Parish who were honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ May 1 honors convocation were, from left, Andrew Benton of Springfield, Outstanding Senior Award in New Media and Animation; Ryan Lafleur of Denham Springs, Outstanding Senior Award in Music Education; and Lauren Gibson of Walker, The Wilcox Outstanding Graduating Senior Award.

Ryals received the Outstanding Senior Award in General Studies. Congratulating her is Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Karen Fontenot.

7) SOUTHEASTERN ARTS, HUMANITIES AND SOCIAL SCIENCES HONORS (St. Helena) Southeastern Louisiana University student Keisha Davis from Greensburg, right, was honored at the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences’ May 1 honors convocation. Davis received the D Vickers Award in Creative Writing. Congratulating her is Dean of the College of Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences Karen Fontenot.
