Southeastern SBDC to host Google for marketing conference

HAMMOND – The Southeastern Louisiana University Small Business Development Center
and 5 Stones Media are offering a one-day small business marketing conference featuring
a Google representative. Scheduled Jan. 19 from 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Southeastern’s
Student Union, located at 303 Union Ave., the “Momentum Marketing Conference” will
focus on the latest trends in digital marketing for business.
“Momentum is a one-day conference bringing together some of the brightest minds
in small business to help you achieve your goals,” said SBDC Assistant Director Sandy
Summers. “Participants will benefit from valuable insights, hands-on training, and
one-on-one coaching to help their small business thrive in 2018.”
Google expert Drew Tonsmeire will lead two special presentations, Summers said.
Other presenters include Kim Walker and J.R. Portman of 5 Stones Media. Free on-site
marketing assessments will also be provided by 5 Stones Media on an appointment basis.
Additional conference sponsors include SCORE and the Greater Hammond, Ponchatoula,
Amite, Independence, West St. Tammany and East St. Tammany chambers of commerce.
Registration for the conference is $10 but free for Southeastern students. Registration
