HAMMOND – Southeastern Louisiana University students seeking part-time jobs are
invited to attend a part-time job fair sponsored by the Office of Career Services
on Aug. 29. Area employers looking to hire multiple employees are invited to participate
in the free event.
Scheduled from 9:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., the event will take place at the Student
Union breezeway.
“The fair offers an opportunity for students interested in part-time employment
or internships to connect with approximately 35 local employers,” said Director of
Career Services Ken Ridgedell. “Employers’ representatives will be on hand to accept
job applications from currently enrolled Southeastern students.”
Ridgedell said the part-time job fair is a casual dress event for students to
drop by between classes.
Although the event is free, employers are encouraged to register as soon as possible
due to limited space. Registration is available at southeastern.edu/career.
The university’s official Career Fair 2019, Career Services’ annual job fair
for upper class students and recent alumni looking for full-time placement, will be
held Sept. 19, from 9 a.m. to 2:30 p.m., at the Pennington Student Activity Center.
