The university's radio station is heard throughout Hammond and the surrounding communities. Many announcers are communication students training for careers in the broadcast industry.
On Sunday, March 23, from 5:30 to 8 p.m, Southeastern will host its 30th annual Chefs Evening at the newly opened Student Union Grand Ballroom. In addition to the fun and traditional dishes and drinks enjoyed over the years, this year's event will feature a "Farm to Table" concept that will pair regional farmers with participating restaurants to create truly local and fresh dishes. Tickets for the university's largest fundraising event are now available to purchase online.
