One of Southeastern University's most distinguished alumni, Mr. Ralph Basham, the former Director of the United States Secret Service was one of our Biztalk speakers on campus Wednesday, January 11, 2006.
Mr. Basham is a 28 year veteran of the United States Secret Service and among his numerous honors are the 1992 and 2000 Meritorious Presidential Rank Awards. The United States Secret Service is one of the most respected agencies of government and technologically advanced organizations in the world. The USSS was created in 1865 and is tasked with two very significant missions: protect the President and Vice President, their families, heads of state, and other designated individuals, the White House, Vice President’s Residence, Foreign Missions, and other buildings within Washington, D.C.; and planning and implementation of security designs for designated National Special Security Events.
