Asprion began his career at Southeastern in 2005 as project coordinator in the Physical Plant. He worked his up to associate director of Facility Maintenance, where he managed housing maintenance, including supervision of shop foremen directly, 10 tradesmen indirectly and 29 resident buildings. He currently serves as director of University Housing, where he is responsible for the administration and supervision of all facilities, operations, personnel management, budgets, conferences, and residence life programs.
The Universities of Louisiana Management and Leadership Institute launched in 2017. The nine-month institute immerses participants in rigorous programming designed to gain a deeper understanding for effective leadership in higher education. Throughout the two semesters, members visit each of the nine universities and ultimately produce a group project that addresses some of the challenges of higher education.
