Southeastern Nursing and Health Sciences students honored

Six students received the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Nursing and Health Sciences’ highest honor, the Dean’s Award, at the college’s annual honors convocation held recently.

Six students received the Southeastern Louisiana University College of Nursing and Health Sciences’ highest honor, the Dean’s Award, at the college’s annual honors convocation held recently.

The Dean’s Award in the Department of Health and Human Sciences was presented to Heavenly Bell of Folsom, Taylor Ngo of Denham Springs, and Skylar Watkins of Metairie. The Dean’s Award in the Department of Kinesiology and Health Studies went to Caroline Dominique of Madisonville and Chrysler Mitchell of Denham Springs, while the School of Nursing Dean’s Award went to Maria Crochet of Prairieville.

The Significant Partnership Award was presented by each department in recognition of contributions to the educational programs in the college. William Dede of the New Orleans Sports Foundation accepted the award from the Kinesiology and Health Studies Department, while Chief Human Resources Officer for North Oaks Health accepted the award from the School of Nursing. 

Also recognized with the award from the Department of Health and Human Sciences was Ochsner Psychiatry and Behavioral Health Sciences.
