Southeastern wins graphic design, videography awards
The Southeastern Louisiana University Office of Marketing and Communications was recognized for graphic design and videography by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts with five Communicator Awards.

The Southeastern Louisiana University Office of Marketing and Communications was recognized for graphic design and videography by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts with five Communicator Awards.
The office was recognized with three Awards of Excellence in the following categories: Design Features – Cover Design for the Southeastern 100 history book; Print Content – Magazine for the Southeastern Magazine Centennial Edition; and Design Features – Cover Design for the Southeastern Magazine Centennial Edition cover. Two Awards of Distinction were awarded in the following categories: Series – Documentary for Southeastern 100 Documentary and Mini History Videos; and Promotional Collateral – Book for the Southeastern 100 history book.
The Award of Excellence, the highest honor, is given to those entrants whose ability to communicate positions them as the best in the field, while the Award of Distinction is presented to projects that exceed industry standards in quality and achievement.
With thousands of entries received from across the United States and around the globe, the Communicator Awards remains one of the largest and most competitive programs honoring excellence in marketing, communication and creative work.
This year’s Award of Excellence recipients include standouts such as The Walt Disney Company, The Alamo, Special Olympics, PepsiCo, Global Hotel Alliance, PwC, Touch Worldwide, George P. Johnson, Milton Hershey School, Apostrophe, Grow, Syracuse University, Marriott International, Lenovo, Create Baltimore, Penn Medicine, and many others.
The awards are judged by the Academy of Interactive & Visual Arts (AIVA), an invitation-only body of over 1,100 industry leaders from top brands and agencies. This year’s Jury included professionals from JPMorgan Chase & Co., FedEx, Netflix, Big Spaceship, National Geographic Society, Accenture Song, Critical Mass, NAACP, and The Andy Warhol Museum, among many others.
“We are in an era of information and content overload. Breaking through requires the right message, medium, and end moment,” said AIVA General Manager Josh Campbell. “This season’s winners got it exactly right, across campaigns, video series, annual reports, podcasts, websites and apps, immersive experiences, brand style guides and beyond. We are deeply grateful to the AIVA Jury for the expertise, curiosity and dedication they brought to recognizing this work. We’re honored to spotlight the winners whose work was truly ‘Well said’.”
The Communicator Awards is an annual competition recognizing the best in advertising, corporate communications, public relations and design. With over 3,000 entries received from across the United States and around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
