Southeastern Louisiana University will host its annual Giving Day—a 24-hour online effort bringing Lions everywhere together to make a difference—on Sept. 16.
Interim Vice President for University Advancement Malayne Sharp said Giving Day is all about rallying alumni, friends, students, and community members to support Southeastern in big and small ways.
“Giving Day is more than just a 24-hour campaign; it’s a true celebration of Southeastern. Every gift, big or small, helps provide opportunities for our students and ensures Southeastern’s momentum continues into the next century,” she said.
Sharp also encouraged supporters to help spread the word.
Assistant Director of Donor Engagement Faith Peterson said every donation counts, whether it’s $10 or $10,000.
“What matters is participation,” she said. “Last year, we celebrated our Centennial, but this year, we are looking to the future and investing in the Lions’ Next 100!”
Donations are tax deductible and encouraged between 12:01 a.m. and 11:59 p.m. on Sept. 16, at southeasterngivingday.org.
