Southeastern announces Centennial Homecoming Court

Fourteen Southeastern Louisiana University students have been chosen as members of the 2025 Centennial Homecoming Court.

Southeastern 2025 Homecoming Queen Court

Fourteen Southeastern Louisiana University students have been chosen as members of the 2025 Centennial Homecoming Court. They will reign over festivities during Homecoming week Oct. 13 – 18.

Chosen as members of the queen court are seniors Kaylie Anderson, Lafayette; Shaina Keller, Kentwood; Emily Lidikay, Hammond; Mackynzie Mannino, Tickfaw; Magnolia McCarty, St. Amant; Ina Pegues, Jackson, Miss.; and sophomore Nevaeh Armstrong, LaPlace.

Elected members of the king court are seniors Mekhi Batiste, Lacombe; Walker Peyton, Denham Springs; and Daniel Sinclair, Pearl River; juniors Ethan Benton, Denham Springs; Gregory Binder, Metairie; and Jacob Matherne, Franklinton; and sophomore Zachary Edwards, Franklinton.

The 2025 queen and king, the top junior or senior vote-getters in the recent online campus election, will be announced Saturday, Oct. 18. 

Anderson is a psychology major, who serves as chair of the “Empower our Families” initiative and assistant secretary of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc. She is a three-year member of ELITE Women, chaplain for the National Pan-Hellenic Council, a Project P.U.L.L. mentor, and a member of Project Hope. She also serves as a senior track and field manager. 

Keller majors in communication sciences and disorders and is a member of NSSLHA. She is also a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, where she served as Panhellenic relations coordinator and awards coordinator. She represented  Kappa Sigma Crescent Court in 2023 and 2024.

Lidikay is a psychology major. She serves as a senator-at-large in the Student Government Association, has held leadership roles in Phi Mu, Order of Omega, and as a Gamma Chi. Lidikay was named Most Outstanding Sophomore, Most Outstanding Junior, and is a recipient of the Jackie Dale Thomas Green ‘S’ Award. She is also a founding member of the Psychology Ambassador Group and co-owner of the EmilyCarolineCollective art business.

Mannino is a strategic communication major. She is a member of Sigma Sigma Sigma Sorority, where she has held several leadership roles. She serves as president of Greek Intervarsity and has worked as a tour guide and Admissions Ambassador.

McCarty, a criminal justice major, plans to attend law school. She is a member of Alpha Omicron Pi, has served in multiple leadership roles within Collegiate Panhellenic Council, and was honored with the CPC Emerging Leader Award and as the 2024 Panhellenic Woman of the Year.

Pegues is a business administration major. She serves as a College of Business Senator in SGA, and Admissions Ambassador and tour guide-event specialist, and a Centennial Orientation Leader. She is also a member of Alpha Phi Omega and a Project P.U.L.L. mentor. 

Armstrong, a nursing major, serves as vice president of Code Green. She is active in the Honors Student Association, Black Student Union, and Love of God’s People. Her platform, “Embracing Your Crown Within,” promotes confidence, unity, and student empowerment. 

Batiste is a psychology major. He serves as president of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is an Honors and Excellence Ambassador, Project P.U.L.L. mentor, and Tinsley Learning Center tutor. He has been inducted into the Marvin L. Yates Student Hall of Fame, while earning multiple university leadership awards. He also owns MSTR MND Designs, a graphic design business.

Peyton is an accounting and finance major, who serves as chapter president for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity. He is a member of the SGA Outreach Board, a College of Business Ambassador, and a member of the Southeastern Accounting Society. He is also a two-time recipient of the Jackie Dale Thomas Green ‘S’ Award.

Benton, a kinesiology major, has served as a Lions Connected mentor. He is involved in Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, Campus Outreach, and the Interfraternity Council.

Binder is an occupational safety, health and environment major. He is a member of Delta Tau Delta, the Catholic Student Association, and SGA.

Matherne is a computer science major. He served as an SGA senator, personal relations and special events chairman for Delta Tau Delta, earning the Tom Sharp New Member Award Scholarship, and a Campus Outreach Leadership Team member.

Sinclair, an accounting major, is president of the Southeastern Accounting Society. He is also involved in Toastmasters of Southeastern, Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and the Interfraternity Council.

Edwards majors in chemistry. He is director of financial affairs for SGA, previously serving as a senator and earning Senator of the Year. He is also a member of the Honors Program, ACS/SPS, and the Office of Admissions Ambassadors. Edwards has also conducted undergraduate research.
