Dr. Wicker is a synthetic organometallic chemist whose research is focused the synthesis of novel ligands and their use in organometallic catalysis. One of his current projects includes the synthesis of a novel tridentate NacNac ligand which may have potential medical uses when installed on a platinum(II) center or industrial uses when installed on an iron(II) center. His other project is the synthesis of novel phosphonium salts and their use as cationic ligands.
Dr. Wicker also teaches General Chemistry, Inorganic Chemistry and their respective labs.
