 I attended Southeastern from 2015 to 2018 in pursuit of my bachlor degree in IT-Supervision Concentration. During this time I was fortunate to see the department grow and move to the new technology building.

 

The progress this department made is tremendous, I learned so much during my time in the IT program and this program has opened many career opportunities for me. I hope to expand students opportunities by providing my expertise in the residential construction field and what this field has to offer.

Nick Cavaretta received his BS in Industrial Technology in 2009 and his MBA in 2012 both from Southeastern Louisiana University. He currently works for Ampirical Solutions in Covington, LA as a Sr Project Manager managing distribution as well as substation projects for clients such as Entergy and CLECO.

Nick started his career in the heavy civil construction industry building interstates and highways in Louisiana before transitioning into the Power Utility industry as a designer/engineer for Hawaiian Electric Company. Collectively, he has five (5) years of design experience and seven (7) years of Project Management experience.

In May 2018, I earned a Bachelor's degree in Industrial Technology with concentrations in drafting, design, and supervision from SELU. Over the past five years, I have focused on refining my expertise in Autodesk design tools to produce accurate construction documents. My passion lies in leveraging technology to advance industrial design practices. I am committed to integrating cutting-edge modeling techniques into construction documentation, thereby enhancing the quality and efficiency of engineering deliverables for the future.

Hello all! I'm Dakota Naramore, a proud resident of Ponchatoula and an alumnus of Southeastern's industrial technology program. Currently, I hold the position of an Engineering Technician at RBA Engineering, located right here in Hammond. We take pride in being one of the few private civil engineering firms in Tangipahoa Parish. As an engineering technician, I oversee the entire project from its inception to completion. This includes tasks such as preliminary design, permitting, final design, project management, and conducting site inspections. I find immense satisfaction in contributing to our community while working in my hometown. Thank you for taking the time to get to know me, and I look forward to engaging with all of you!

Senior Design Manager at Gainey’s Concrete Products in Holden, LA. (21 years)

Honors Industrial Technology Graduate of Southeastern Louisiana University with a Specialty in Design Drafting – 2002.

Serving in the industry for over 21 years, Cyndi works with the engineering community on issues relating to wastewater and stormwater. She has spoken nationally and before Louisiana Senate Hearings on the dangers of Grease and F.O.G. in our sewer systems. She was also chosen to be part of the Inaugural Leadership National Precast Concrete Association Cohort and graduated in 2018.

She has served on the NPCA Waste and Wastewater Committee, Sustainability Committee, and Board of Directors Nominating Committee. For the past three years, she has been selected as a national Judge for the NPCA Foundation Student Design Competition, in which concrete engineering schools compete in a 3-month rigorous design challenge that tests their ingenuity and presentation skills.
