Hendrick Foster (B.S. in Health and Physical Education, 2019) was recognized as the 2020-2021 Teacher of the Year at Capitol Middle Magnet School, Baton Rouge [February 2021]



James Carruth(B.S. in Health and Physical Education, 2015) a teacher at Chahta-Ima Elementary School in St Tammany Parish), was awarded a $10,000 grant from the National Fitness Foundation. His proposal focused on promoting cross-curricular learning, using pedometers, stethoscopes, human body diagrams, and developmentally-appropriate equipment to increase physical activity while learning concepts in science, math, language, and nutrition. [2019]



Taylor Rosson (B.S. in Health and Physical Education, 2019) was named Teacher of the Month at Seventh Ward Elementary School. [January 2021]



Siblings Sarah Fryoux (B.S. Athletic Training, 2016) and Jacob Fryoux (B.S. Athletic Training, 2014) completed the Doctorate in Physical Therapy program at St. Augustine University. [February 2021]
