Bio:

Dr. Settoon is a former Management Department Head and former Dean of the College of Business at Southeastern. In his many years of service to the college, he has taught a myriad of courses, served as chair and members of numerous committees and advised/mentored many students. He is also an accomplished researcher with many of his works ranked as being the most influential and/or most cited articles in some of the profession's most prestigious journals.

He has served as lead research consultant for the Louisiana International Deep Water Gulf Transfer Terminal Commission, Authority of the Senate of the Louisiana State Legislature. For its planned 2016 construction, he conducted the 2012 economic impact study for the $1.13 billion containerized-cargo transfer terminal and a network of northern Gulf of Mexico ports and Mississippi River distribution centers. This project was awarded the 2013 Strategic Infrastructure Project of the Year award by industry experts and the nation's leading strategic infrastructure firm.
