Degrees

Department of Visual Arts

Advising occurs every semester approximately 6 weeks before the end of the semester. Students meet with their advisor by appointment before registering for courses and regularly throughout the semester. This is an opportunity to discuss current course activity and performance and long-term educational goals.

Requirements for graduation are listed in the University General Catalog. Advising and consultation on academic issues is available from your faculty advisor or the Department Head.

All freshmen are advised during orientation at the beginning of the first semester by the undergraduate coordinator and Art + Design Faculty.

All transfer students will be advised by the undergraduate coordinator prior to the first semester of study. Transfer credits will be evaluated and applied toward remaining degree requirements.

For additional information on advising, contact the Department office at (985) 549-2193
