Tell us about your education and where you graduated.
I graduated from LSU in 2009 with a Bachelor of Science in Psychology. While working full-time in mental health and then higher education, I received my Master of Arts in Psychology from Southeastern in 2015.
What are your hobbies?
I enjoy hanging out with friends and family, attending sporting events, tailgating for football games, and hearing live music.
What advice would you give students who are struggling academically?
One of my favorite authors, C.S. Lewis, once said, "You can't go back and change the beginning, but you can start where you are and change the ending." To any student who is struggling academically, I would say that is is never too late to turn things around. The key is acknowledging that change is necessary, accepting help from available resources, and modifying behaviors towards a goal of success. As an Academic and Career Exploration Coach within the Center for Student Excellence, I would love to offer you the tools to help you achieve your academic goals!
What do you love about Southeastern?
I love that Southeastern is a four year college with a small town feel! It is so easy to make connections here, to make friendships that will last. The more you get involved on campus, the better your experience will be!
What's a fun fact about yourself?
I'm an animal lover, especially cats! If I won the lottery, I would open up my own animal rescue.
