Hello, my name is Lexie Abreu, and I am majoring in math and planning to minor in economics. I am a member of Gamma Beta Phi, and my interests include reading, baking, and helping others. I am excited to be working in the Center for Student Excellence and look forward to my time here.
KevinHi! My name is Kevin Bokun, a junior Biology major with a concentration in Molecular/Microbiology. I am from Walker and I'm involved in the campus ministry, Lions for the Lamb. My interests include listening to music, juggling, and hanging out with friends. I enjoy school; however, I understand that everyone, including myself, needs help with different courses. I've really enjoyed SELU and hope to make it enjoyable for all.



Hi, my name is George Brand, and I'm a senior majoring in biology, hoping to go to medical school. I like stuff, but mostly playing music. I tutor biology, chemistry, Spanish and math.  
James_ChanceyMy name is James Chancey and I am a Computer Science major with a minor in Mathematics. I am at SELU for my second Bachelors degree. My first degree is in Economics from LSU. In addition to Computer Science and Economics, I am also interested in history and philosophy. Currently, I am available to tutor math, chemistry, economics, finance and accounting.

in psychology with a minor in music. I hope to one day receive a doctorate in psychology. I am the senator of the College of the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences in the Student Government Association and the V.P. of Delta Omicron Professional Music Fraternity. I love to sing, play piano, paint, run and go to the beach. I am excited about working with all of you!  
Kaycie_GrayHi! My name is Kaysie Gray and I'm a junior psychology major planning on attaining a minor in Spanish. I've always been a big fan of meeting new people and helping others, so I'm ecstatic to have this opportunity. I was in band for years in high school and for part of my college career, and I still attend musical performances around the area when I can. I love writing and reading but tend to hoard books more than read them, although when I have time I've been known to tear into some poetry. I'm quite excited to help students in whatever way I can and look forward to the challenge and privilege.

Hi, my name is Taylor Hay, and I am a Physics major. I enjoy math and science along with nature and wildlife. I am very excited for this semester to begin and look forward to having a very good experience helping fellow students while working in the center.
Dillon_JoinerMy name is Dillon Joiner, and I'm a biology major from Ponchatoula and will hopefully be starting medical school in fall 2015. I was raised in a house in the swamp that you had to travel seven miles by boat to reach. I am very passionate about the science of evolution and will be studying in the Galapagos Islands this summer, the same place where Darwin found his finches and came up with his famous theory.


My name is Robin Joshi, and I am currently pursuing a double degree in Mathematics and Computer Science. These are both difficult subjects, but I find that given time and some patience, learning these subjects becomes easier. I am glad that I am part of the CSE, and I hope to help you out in your quest for learning.


Hello, my name is Suyogya Karki. I am an international student from Nepal and a sophmore majoring in physics. I plan to get an engineering degree. I love playing sports, and my favorite is basketball. I look forward to gaining much experience as a tutor and helping students in the sciences and math.

I grew up in Gretna, Louisiana, and went to Foutainebleau High School in Mandeville. I am an active member of Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia and an avid musician. Travel is my life and writing is my passion, and it is because of these that I have great determination to master the subjects that I will be tutoring. I understand the time and dedication that goes into learning these subjects and am by no means a master, but I am ready to sit down with you so we can learn together.

I am from El Salvador, a small country in the middle of Central America and even though I see my family only twice a year, they are a great support for me. I love playing tennis, listening to music, arts and crafts, painting, cooking and being with my friends. My goal after college is to work as a Human Resource Manager or to have my own business in the area of Human Resources. Eventually, my dream is to go out of state to Physical Therapy school and become a licensed physical therapist. Alex P.Hello, my name is Alex Patrick. I'm currently a Senior majoring in Math and plan on getting a Ph.D in Mathematics one day. Before college, I attended private school and public school, was home-schooled, and went to high school at a private school for students that are home-schooled. I've practiced MMA throughout my life since my father is an MMA instructor (before it was well known as "MMA" my father called it "Shin-Jitsu" meaning "True Art"). I use to compete in Jiu Jitsu tournaments, as well as handgun competitions. I was also a Boy Scout for several years. Today, I tutor math for CSE and teach at the same private school for home-schooled students that I attended. Other subjects that I find interesting are Criminal Psychology, Law, and Political Science. I'm hoping everybody has a great semester. I am looking forward to meeting you all.
Caleb PMy name is Caleb Porter, and I am a junior majoring in Vocal Music Education. I attended Franklinton High School, where I was a four year member of the LMEA All-State Choirs as well as my local school Show Choir. These experiences helped me discover my passion for music and encouraged me to pursue music in college as a vocalist, pianist and organist. I am also minoring in Mathematics, which is an interest of mine. On campus, I am a member of Delta Omicron Professional Music Fraternity and I am involved in Wesley United Methodist Campus Ministry. Hayden SongyHey, my name is Hayden Songy. I am from Slidell, Louisiana. I am majoring in mathematics with an education concentration. I know math is not the most glamorous subject but I absolutely love it...I even ask for math books for Christmas. When I'm not studying or doing homework, I am usually at St. Albert's or participating with the Catholic Student Association. The quote I live by is by Randy Pausch, "The brick walls are there for a reason. They're to show us how badly we want something." I am very excited to be a tutor, and my goal is to help struggling students get through those brick walls.

WeaverHi, I'm Hannah Weaver, and I'm a sophomore biology education major here at Southeastern. I am also on the leadership team at the Baptist Collegiate Ministry (BCM) and I coach gymnastics on the weekends back in my hometown of Prairieville, LA. I also enjoy painting, reading and playing intramural sports! I live in Hammond and am looking forward to tutoring biology and math!
