Future Fest is an eight-day, online, STEM summer camp eligible Louisiana GEAR UP high
school students to discover and explore STEM . From your own home, engage in fascinating
activities as you study various STEM-related fields! From the comfort of home, you will talk with industry experts, perform cutting-edge science,
investigate career paths, and prepare yourself for a powerful future!

Eligible Students: 10th & 11th grade Louisiana GEAR UP students (Click here for the list of eligible schools).

Interested in microbiology or pre-med? Explore viruses and bacteria as you learn what
you can do to stay healthy.

Are you interested in drafting, architecture, designing, or building? Using Tinkercad,
create blueprints for a model you design.

 

HomeLion’s Security

Cyber Safe with STILE!  We will see how plaintext is turned into cipher-text, phish
for complex passwords, lighten our digital footprints, and share stories of adversaries
who have successfully performed world cyber-attacks in the past.

 

Aquaponics Garden

Grow plants and food in a literal bottle! Design your own aquaponics system and maintain
it.

 

Cosmetic Chemistry

Ready to experiment with the elements, create compounds, and rearrange atoms? Create
cosmetic items such as body scrubs or bath bombs with chemistry.

 

Roller Coaster Physics

Build your own roller coaster model! Learn about physics as you build a track that
your coaster can go through without incident.

 

3-D Design and Building

Have you ever wanted to design something? Make a drawing or idea something you could
hold? In this activity, design, model, and then build a face shield to defend against
