Southeastern welcomes students back for the start of classes this week while we continue to keep all faculty, staff and students who are not yet able to make it to campus in our thoughts as the region works to recover from devastating flooding.

We attempted to reach ALL our students in recent days, but we realize communication has been difficult, if not impossible for some. If you are just now able to see this message, please contact enrollmentservices@southeastern.edu so we can have a better understanding of your status and work with you so you can attain your educational goals.

FLOOD RECOVERY FAQs

The Village

The Village provides on-campus housing to students belonging to student organizations, including sororities and fraternities. Students who wish to reside in an organizational house must be a member of that particular organization offering on-campus housing. The Village is located on North Campus with easy access to the Pennington Student Activity Center, University Center and the heart of campus.

Houses in The Village feature shared room accomodations but a private room can be requested at double the shared room cost. Rooms include moveable furniture (twin bed, desk chair and armoire per resident), high-speed Internet and basic cable. All rooms are climate control and an on-site laundry room with 10 washers and dryers is available to all Village residents as well as a terminal for Lion's Lagniappe deposits.

An Organizational Meal Plan is required for all residents of the The Village who have less than 60 credit hours.

Sororities and fraternities require all members to live in the chapter facility the semester after initiation provided space is available for a minimum of two semesters including the summer semester. Individiual chapters are responsible for enforcing this policy and the specific housing policies that determine room assignment and availability.
