Missing Persons

Have you not seen or heard from your roommate?

Let someone know!

Southeastern Louisiana University and University Housing value the safety and well being of our students. In an effort to make sure we are aware when a student may be considered missing, we ask that all students contact your Resident Assistant and/or University Police with the last time you have heard or see a friend or roommate who may be missing.

Also, to help us with a possible report, we ask that you remember to complete your Personal Data card to include emergency contact person that can be contacted if you are reported missing.

University Housing takes missing person reports very seriously. If a student is reported missing we will:

  • notify University Police immediately that a report has been made
  • offer University Police the emergency contact person on the Personal Data Card
  • notify University Police if you are under the age of 18, so that your parents/guardians can be contacted, if you are not emancipated

Students who have been missing for 24 hours can be reported as missing. If you have any questions about this, please feel free to contact your Resident Assistant for more information.
