Food Pantry

The Southeastern Lion Pantry is operated by the Office for Student Engagement with the help of student workers and volunteers. The mission of the Lion Pantry is to provide perishable and non-perishable items to any active Southeastern student who are in need of services. We are located in McGehee Hall, Room 109.

Hours of Operation

Summer Hours will start on Monday, June 2, and end on Thursday, August 7.

Current Southeastern students, faculty, and staff members must present their Southeastern ID and may visit the pantry twice each week. During each visit, people may obtain ten items, with a maximum of twenty items per week. Each item is available in limited quantities per visit, based on demand.

Swipe Out Hunger
Swipe Out Hunger is a program to help address food insecurity on college campuses. It allows for meal swipes to be donated from meal plans and dispersed to students in need. You can find more information about donating and receiving meal swipes at the Swipe Out Hunger SGA page.

Adopt The Pantry Initiative

To Adopt the Lion Pantry means to:

  1. Host an item(s) drive for a week (Monday-Friday) for specific needs of the pantry. The specific need/item(s) will be communicated to your contact person within two business days of completing this form.
  2. Create all promotion resources in order to publicize that your selected week will be your donation week. We encourage creativity and all publication platforms to promote your weekly drive.
  3. Provide collection materials, including boxes, bags, carts, etc. The Office for Student Engagement recommends a large-sized box for easy transport to the pantry.
  4. Drop off all collected items on Friday from 10 am-12 pm at the Lion Pantry in McGehee Hall, Room 109. A graduate assistant/ student worker will be present to assist you.
