These are the positions offered by Student Technology Services to all currently enrolled Southeastern students.


M.A.T.R.I.C.S. Team Member



Purpose and Scope:

  • To assist with technical aspects of the Student Technology Fee Computer Labs


  • Daily surveillance of computer labs
  • Resolving software and network issues
  • Troubleshooting and repairing hardware problems
  • Reporting unresolved computer problems to the STS Help Desk
  • Breaking down removing, transporting, and delivering various items and equipment
  • Transporting, delivering, unpacking, and assembling new technology
  • Consulting with various computer specialists and technicians
  • Participation in SPS training program
  • Writing daily shift reports
  • Performs other related duties as required
  • Participation in SPS training program

Organization Relationship

  • Supervisor - STS Coordinator



Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Enrolled at Southeastern Louisiana University
  • General and/or advance knowledge of software and hardware, networking, LANs, Internet and programming
  • Written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to carry-out precise instructions with exceptional attention to detail
  • Problem solving and organizational skills
  • Ability to work within a team oriented environment as well as independently
  • Ability to safely lift over 30 lbs
  • Ability to handle and resolve recurring problems
  • Open and communicative person
  • Proficient in usage of all hardware and software as required


  • Programming and Networking experience an asset
