I decided to attend Southeastern because the academic culture seemed very good. I heard about all our tutoring resources and aid for classes. In high school, I was and A, B student. Now at Southeastern, I've had a 4.0 all year because the teachers are committed to making sure I understand the lesson and all of the resources I can use to better my learning experience.

The positivity of the student and faculty life, and the relationships you build with all your teachers and mentors! You will not get that at most other universities. This is why we get so many transfers. You are actually cared for here!

My best advice is to make the best out of your experience. You only go to college for the first time once. Enjoy it. Pay attention in class. Branch out and meet new people. Your experience is what you make it!

Southeastern Faculty go above and beyond for their students! They make you feel seen and heard, and like you are more than just another number! They actually care about their students' success and want to see them thrive!

I decided to attend SLU because it’s basically a part of my heritage. My mother and grandmother attended this college so it’s always felt like home for me. Southeastern is minutes away from my home and such a beautiful campus that is diverse and inclusive for not only myself but all who are enrolled here.

I would say the faculty and staff at Southeastern are caring from a student's and staff member's point of view. I feel like I have a second family in the Admissions Office / Orientation Leaders with everyone always checking in on you.

My best advice for a college student is that being at SLU is so much fun, and like anything you will have some struggles so don’t think you’re the only person going through it!! Reach out and get help because most likely someone has already faced what you’re facing.

The staff here is very caring! When you talk to staff or anyone who is affiliated with Southeastern, you can tell they clearly care about what you are saying and what exactly you need from them.

I decided to attend SELU because I did not feel overwhelmed by the campus. I instantly connected with my department's teachers and still have great relationships with them today.

I chose to attend Southeastern University because it is far away from home but not too far. It is also small enough to get help from your professors which is what I need. Everything here feels like you are part of a family.

Many factors played into my college decision, such as the safety of the school, the resources offered, as well as the opportunities I have here. But most importantly, out of all the schools I toured, southeastern felt like the perfect fit.

One of my best experiences here was in my Honors English class my freshman year with Dr. Bruce Craft. The content was engaging and the class was so fun! I really appreciate that he still says hi whenever I see him too.

The faculty and staff members at Southeastern are so sweet. Everyone here has been nothing but kind to me in this large and overwhelming transition in my life, and I intend to give back to them in the ways that I can.

As a first-generation student, I was nervous about coming to Southeastern and starting college. With the support and resources available to me at Southeastern, I found my place and my peace. I love college now, and I encourage anyone considering this path to give it a try and stay open-minded.

My best advice is that college is what you make of it. If you have even the smallest urge to get involved, do it! It is so beyond rewarding. Southeastern has a place for each and every person to find a community so really lean into your interests and tailor your college experience to you!

One thing I would say to an incoming student is don't worry if you are unsure about your major or career path, Southeastern offers numerous opportunities in your first semester to connect with different departments and attend career-focused events. While I came into university with a clear idea of my goals, I saw many of my peers find what they wanted because of these events.

The faculty and staff always go the extra mile to ensure that students are well-taken-care-of. I’ve never had to face a problem alone—someone is always there to guide me in the right direction and help me make the most of the resources available.

My best advice is to get involved while striving for balance; it pays, even in your academics, to be engaged. Reach high always because Southeastern can get you there, and never be afraid to explore.

When I first started college at Southeastern, I was just 16 years old. At the time, I was honestly against the idea of attending Southeastern. But the moment I stepped onto campus, everything changed. I quickly fell in love with the university’s welcoming atmosphere, its diversity, and the sense of community. Southeastern turned out to be exactly where I was meant to be.

Southeastern is perfect for you if you are looking for a supportive community, wanting to engage in hands on learning, and want a campus environment where you can connect with peers and faculty.

I chose Southeastern because it was not far from home, I have amazing friends who are current students and alumni who got a lot out of their experience here, and it is not too small but small enough to build relationships with different groups people to make Southeastern a home away from home.

What stands out about Southeastern is how much it feels like home, it is very easy to get to know people and see familiar faces around campus! The staff are caring as a whole and you can tell they have the best intentions with everything they are a part of!
